DERIVO® and DERIVO® mini Embolisation Device

Advanced flow diversion with unique visibility concept

The flow diversion technique with the use of embolisation devices placed in the parent artery is a new approach to treat intracranial aneurysms – especially fusiform and wide neck aneurysms.

These devices have a high vessel wall coverage and the ability to change haemodynamic forces and vectors in the segment bearing the aneurysm.

The DERIVO® and DERIVO® mini Embolisation Device are Acandis’® reliable and effective flow diverter featuring proven technology and additional service:

  • Unique X-ray visibility
  • Perfect vessel wall adaptability
  • Broad range of sizes for tailored treatment options
  • True self-expansion
  • Resheathability
  • 3D Sizing Simulation

VISIBLE

The entire contour and shape of the DERIVO® and DERIVO® mini Embolisation Device are perfectly visible due to Platinum-Nitinol composite wires. Three addiational Platinum-Iridium X-ray markers on both ends allow accurate placement and permanent control.

ADAPTIVE

Outstanding flexibility, based on special braiding properties, combined with well-balanced radial force lead to perfect adaptability of the DERIVO® and DERIVO® mini Embolisation Device.

EXCELLENT CLINICAL PERFORMANCE

  • Secure wall apposition as a result of flared ends and closed distal ends
  • Improved corrosion resistance and lower thrombogenicity1 due to BlueXide® surface finishing
  • Outstanding flexibility combined with well-balanced radial force
